What is CNC Machining?
A computer numerical control (CNC) machine relies on a computer-guided router system to create extremely precise cuts in wood and other materials. At Cedars Woodworking, we’ve relied on our CNC machine for over 8 years to provide the most accurate joinery and intricate woodworking to homeowners and contractors in Lancaster County.
Our CNC machine has a 5’ x 8’ bed and can handle even our largest cabinetry projects.
As one of the few shops in Lancaster to have a commercial CNC machine, we are capable of precision, uniformity, and detail that’s hard to replicate by hand. We use this machine to create custom cabinet boxes, signs, custom millwork, toys, and even instruments – most anything you can design can be created on our CNC machine!
Our machine can cut and sculpt wood, foam, and PVC in any shape or thickness with extremely tight tolerances. With a 5-foot by 8-foot capacity, we use this tool to cut entire sheets of plywood, full-height cabinets, and even table tops.
Past CNC Projects
Body of a custom electric guitar we carved out of a single piece of pine on the CNC machine.
PlyCars built for the Hands-On House Children’s Museum in Lancaster, PA. We built all the wooden components for the museum’s car kits.
Furniture accent piece we recreated for a bedroom set. Most of the excess wood was removed on the CNC and then the piece was hand-carved to get the final details.
Signage created for Dayspring Christian Academy. All the letters and features were out on the CNC machine out of foam, making the entire sign very light yet sturdy.
Endless Possibilities with CNC Machining
With our CNC capabilities, we can create and produce nearly anything you can imagine for your next project or event. Whether you need a unique piece or hundreds of identical pieces, the CNC machine produces reliable results in a fraction the cost or time it would normally take.
We have used our CNC machine to produce unique, one of a kind projects for the following clients:
